Volunteers to opportunities:

Within the Las Vegas foster care system there are an abundance of opportunities which Foster Connect would like to match with the abundance of positive role models in churches throughout the city. As Christians we have the responsibility to care for the needs of society, and we would like to raise awareness regarding this particular need and challenge Christians to respond. "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27)

Parents to resources:

Being a foster parent brings many challenges and new needs into a family. Foster Connect will provide support to Christian foster families, enabling them to do their ministry as foster parents even better. This includes practical support, but also emotional and spiritual support.

Parents to parents:

Experienced foster parents have much to offer. Thus, we would like to match them with the less experienced foster parents so that they can benefit from their knowledge. We will network foster families together so that they never feel alone, and through friendships, can have their own support base. In addition, to further promote healthy families in Las Vegas, we will encourage Christian foster families to connect with their foster child's biological parents in a meaningful way.

Foster Connect Internship Opportunity

YWAM Las Vegas offers great opportunities to gain work experience while taking college classes. We want to help you on your journey in ministry through an opportunity to experience hands on ministry to the people of Las Vegas. Our center is located in the middle of downtown Las Vegas and we help low income families in our neighborhood and beyond. We want you as an intern to get some real life experience, be challenged in giving your faith legs and help you to discern your calling in ministry!
