The School The Basic Leadership School (BLS) is a 12-month internship program designed to equip young leaders in basic leadership principles. Trainees are mentored in the practice of biblically based leadership. Specific lectures and assignments on leadership are held in conjunction with staffing at YWAM Las Vegas. Lectures and assignments are designed to highlight leadership principles and assist students in discovering their own style of leadership. Students are assessed on their character development, missions understanding, leadership skills, and on their development of personal skills and abilities related to leading. The Purpose To help train and release young people into leadership responsibilities allowing the student to grow and develop in their own giftings in ministry.
To give young people a basic understanding and practice of biblical leadership.
To provide hands on experience in ministry whilst being mentored and coached in a supportive Christian environment.
To further equip young people in the work of missions.
The BLS will provide the student with a broad based biblical foundation in leadership principles that can be translated into the context of other ministries in YWAM, the local church or in a cross-cultural situation.
